INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM PRESENTS GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive 2023 8th-9th NYC Students

The GOALS (Greater Opportunities Advancing Leadership and Science) for Girls Summer Intensive is a FREE, application-based summer program for current eighth and ninth grade girls from New York City schools. Through dynamic mentorship opportunities, field trips and experiential workshops, 50 accepted students will build proficiency in

the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), develop presentation and communication skills, and meet influential women in STEM.

- The program runs for six weeks, from July 3, 2023 to August 11, 2023.

- Location: Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum,

- One Intrepid Square,W. 46th St. and 12th Ave., New York, NY 10036

- Hours: Monday– Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm

- Transportation: Each participant will be given a combination of unlimited monthly

and weekly MetroCards to be used during program dates only.

- Lunch: FREE lunches provided during the program.

- Lunches not provided on field trip days

- A free/included overnight on their historic ship during the last day,

- Students must live and attend school in one of the five boroughs of New York City
