2026 AOPA FOUNDATION AVIATION SCHOLARSHIPS - APPLICATION DEADLINE: DECEMBER 31, 2025

Eligibility Criteria and Award Amounts

Eligibility:

• Open to AOPA members who are U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents

• High School Membership: Free for individuals aged 13-20

Award Amounts:

• A variety of scholarship opportunities ranging from $250 to $14,000 (amounts may fluctuate based on donor funding)

• High School Students: At least 90 scholarships valued at $12,000 each for students aged 16-18 to obtain their private pilot certificate. Additional criteria apply.

• Teachers Utilizing the AOPA You Can Fly Curriculum: Eligible to apply for up to 20 scholarships, each worth $12,000, to achieve their private pilot certificate. Additional criteria apply.
