Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Internship Program For The Winter 2021 Cycle - Application Deadline March 25, 2021!! Location: Nationwide!
The FAA MSI uses two vendors for the application process. TSC Enterprise and The Washington Center which I have listed.
TSC Enterprise
The Minority Serving Institution Program is designed to help qualified college students gain professional experience in aviation and aerospace facilities nationwide. The interns will be placed in a variety of career fields including but not limited to: aviation research, flight standards and operations, computer science, engineering (aerospace, computer, civil, electronics, electrical and mechanical), finance, business, legal and other fields that support the mission.
They are currently sponsoring three intern cycles. The Summer cycle is a ten-week program that spans from June to August. The fall and winter cycles are twelve weeks. The fall intern cycle generally starts from September to December and the winter intern cycle runs from January to April.
Be enrolled in a 4-year college or university or in a graduate program.
Have completed 42 semester credit hours (or the equivalent in quarter hours

FAA Minority Serving Institutions Intern Program - Application Deadline March 25, 2021!! Location: Regional Offices across the country.
The Washington Center
During this 10-week Summer and 15-week Fall and Spring program, you will intern up to five days per week at the Federal Aviation Administration either in Washington, D.C. or in regional offices across the country.
If you have an interest in the fields of aviation and aerospace, the FAA MSI Intern program could be a great fit for you. All students from underrepresented backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Due to COVID-19 considerations, the 2021 iteration of the program will be virtual. Interns will engage in remote work as directed by mentors and program guidelines.
Be a currently enrolled as a full-time graduate or undergraduate student at an accredited U.S. college or university, with a graduation date after the internship ends.
Must be of sophomore status or above, having completed 42 semester credit hours (or the equivalent in quarter hours) by the start of the internship

FAA Aviation Safety (AVS) Stem Student Program Paid Internships - It is a 11 week program.
The Aviation Safety (AVS) Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Student Program aims to host students studying in the field of STEM who are interested in pursuing aviation-related careers.
Must be accepted for enrollment or are enrolled and seeking a degree at a college/university

FAA Volunteer Service Program For Students 16 years and up. Locations: Nationwide
The FAA Volunteer Service Program provides an opportunity for college, high school, technical or vocational students to experience the world of aviation in educationally relevant work assignments. This is an unpaid internship, but the work experience will be a great asset for your future career goals.

Law Honors Internship Program
FAA attorneys represent the agency before the National Transportation Safety Board, The attorneys work closely with the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Transportation on aviation issues.
Great opportunity for interested law students, It is a unpaid internships, but the opportunity to work directly with FAA senior staff in one or more practice areas on a variety of substantive assignments will be great work experience.
